Queenshill is a recently constructed housing complex located in Leeds, which offers 51 sheltered housing apartments for people over 55, and 34 general need flats. This complex is linked with three other buildings to form a sheltered village of 181 apartments for the elderly, with their own access to a community centre.
Grove, working alongside Leeds Jewish Housing Association and Equans, was chosen to install a monocouche render system to the new buildings. The installation of an external wall insulation system was fitted to achieve multiple goals. It was intended to reduce energy consumption, increase thermal comfort, enhance the exterior appearance, and, most importantly, assist the occupants with cheaper energy costs over time.
